Fullfills - Gateway to Europe

Visit Day Date and Time:- Sunday 15-July-2018, 16.00 p.m.

"Fullfills - Gateway to Europe" a newly opened place located in the famous khau galli of Ghatkopar (East), serves freshly baked Chimney Cones in sweet and savoury delights. A Chimney Cone is an Hungarian delicacy having cylindrical shape which are soft crunchy from outside and fluffy from inside.

Ambience:- It's compact outlet having bright and pleasing interiors with few inside and outside seating options. 


Menu:- This place offers Chimney Cones in sweet and savoury flavours along with Pizza, Pasta and Milkshakes.

Tried out following:-

Mexican Fusion (savoury), herein freshly baked cone is stuffed with sweet corn fillings with red, yellow, green bell peppers topped with chilly sauce. It is bit spicy and my personal favourite from the menu.

Paneer Chilli (savoury), herein freshly baked cone is filled with soft paneer cubes which are marinated with dark soy sauce, green chillies, bell peppers and black pepper powder. 

Cool Oreo (sweet), herein fresh baked cone is rolled in crushed Oreo and filled with chocolate ice-cream which is topped with Oreo crumbs, Oreo cookie and chocolate syrup. It's must try one for the chocolate lovers.

Recommendations:-  Cool Oreo, Paneer Chilli and Mexican Fusion

Service:- Quick

Experience:- Overall it was an amazing experience and must visit place with family and friends to try out this appetising and innovative chimney cones. Special thanks to Mr. Adnan for the invitation.

Juss By Sindhful

Visit Day, Date and Time:- Wednesday, 6-June-2018, 19.30 p.m.

"Juss By Sindhful" a vegetarian Sindhi cuisine restaurant which is owned and managed by Chef Kanchan Ahuja and her son Sannat Ahuja, who also own Mumbai's first Sindhi food delivery kitchen named "Sindhful"

Ambience:- It's a compact outlet with small mezzanine floor and decorated wall with old city painting and brass plates with popular Sindhi words.

Menu:- Overall the menu of this place offers vegetarian Sindhi food options but they also serve non-vegetarian food from the menu of Sindhful which is located on the opposite side of the road.

We started our tasting session with Tikra Chips and Pudina Chutney which is served as complimentary welcome snacks for all the customers.

Pakwaan Chaat, traditional pakwaan in mini sized are garnish with medium spicy chole, curd, coriander chutney, sweet chutney and onions giving it interesting flavour and texture.

Beeyan Ki Tikki, a mashed potato (aloo) tikki with traditional Sindhi green masala. Tikki is topped with tangy and crispy lotus stem chips. 

Crispy Seyal, herein a pav is stuffed with Sindhi green masala and grated cheese which is served with crispy papad. Simple and decent taste.

Dal Pakwan, one of the renowned Sindhi dish of all time. Herein crispy pakwans are served with chana dal cooked in secret in-house masala and accompanied by coriander and tamarind chutney. It's my favourite dish from the menu.

Sindhi Thali, it's India's first Sindhi thali which includes Sanna Pakoda, Aloo Tuk, Sai Bhaji, Bhindi Basar, Aloo Raswale, Bhuga Chawal, Steamed Rice, Sindhi Curry, Boondi Raita, Sindhi Papad, Rose Sharbat and Gulab Jamun. It gives you option to try out most of the traditional dishes from the menu in one thali only. Two important points to note if you are having thali, firstly it's unlimited and secondly sharing of thali is not allowed.


Recommendations:- Sindhi Thali, Dal Pakwaan and Pakwan Chaat.

Service:- Prompt.

Experience:- Overall a good experience and must visit place to try out authentic and traditional Sindhi food in Mumbai with your family or Sindhi friends.

Mahesh Lunch Home - Sea Food Speciality

Visit Day, Date and Time:- Wednesday, 13-June-2018, 20.00 p.m.

"Mahesh Lunch Home" started it's journey in the late 70's by opening it's prime outlet in the Fort area of Mumbai and has been the first restaurant in the Mumbai to serve authentic Mangalorian sea food. It currently has 6 (six) outlets within the few cities (Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore) of India and 1 (one) outlet in Dubai.

Last week visited it's Juhu outlet for food tasting.

Ambience:- It's interiors are quite simple and soothing with dim lights and comfortable seating options.

We started off our food tasting session with Seafood Combination Soup, which was warm and flavourful with good amount of diced fish and prawns. It gave the perfect start to the tasting session.

After soup we decided to try out few starters from the tasting menu, so opted for Crab Butter Pepper Garlic, Prawns Chilly Green, Surmai Fry.

Crab Butter Pepper Garlic, one of the iconic dish from the menu. Herein huge crab was cooked perfectly keeping juiciness of the meat intact and flavourful. You can't miss it if you love eating crabs.

Prawns Chilly Green, herein medium sized prawns are tossed with chilly, bell peppers and basil. It was tasty and good option for foodies who love to eat prawns.

Surmai Fry, herein big piece of surmai fish is marinated with in-house spices and fried to perfection giving it crispy texture outside.

From the main course section we tried out the Mangalorian Prawns Gassi and Butter Chicken along with Neer Dosa and Appam. The medium spicy and tangy gravy went well with soft Neer Dosa and crispy & soft Appam. Even the Butter Chicken was tasty.


We ended our tasting session on sweeter note with Gulab Jamun, Malai Kulfi and traditional Tender Coconut Payasam. Overall the desserts were decent with perfect sweetness.

Recommendations:- Surmai Fry. Crab Butter Pepper Garlic, Prawns Chilly Green, Prawns Gassi with Neer Dosa or Appum.

Service:- Quick

Experience:- Overall it was an amazing experience and one of the best place to try out traditional and flavourful Managalorian seafood.

Waffles & More - The Ultimate Belgian Experience, Matunga West outlet

"Waffles & More" one of the popular waffle house which is owned and managed by Mr. Vinayak Rao and his team, has recently opened up it's new outlet at Matunga (West).

Ambience:- It's perfectly cute, colourful and spacious outlet with seating option.



Menu:- Overall the menu offers variety of freshly baked desserts and savoury waffles along with fries, nachos, coolers and shakes.

We started our tasting session with the newly introduced Three Musketeers Fries, herein crispy fries are drizzled with three different type of sauces i.e. Chipotle, Barbeque and Cheese. Tasty and must try one. 

Mexican Amore, it's one of my personal favourite savoury waffle from the menu. Waffle is stuffed with thick tomato sauce cooked with bell pepper, jalapenos, american corn and topped with hot and spicy chipotle sauce. It's bit spicy but appetizing.

Paan Mojito, refreshing and flavourful drink. Must try one if you love paan flavour.

Oreo Blaster, a signature waffle from the menu for all the oreo lovers. Herein crunchy freshly baked waffle is stuffed with whipped cream and oreo crumbles and topped with crushed oreo biscuits.

Death by Chocolate Pan Cake, herein soft mini pan cakes are drizzled with white chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, choco chips, whipped cream, chocolate crunchy and butterscotch crunchy. Totally sinful.  

Recommendations:- Mexican Amore, Oreo Blaster, Paan Mojito, Three Musketeers Fries, Death by Chocolate Pan Cakes

Plus Point:- Waffles are eggless and Phone charging points

Quick service as expected.

Overall a great experience and one of the best place in Mumbai to try out some delicious desserts and savoury waffles.

London Bubble Co. - Next Level Waffles!

Visit Day Date and Time:- Wednesday 25-April-2018, 07.00 p.m.

"London Bubble Co. aka LBC" one of the famous waffle station from Mumbai which introduced the concept of bubble waffles to the foodies of Mumbai. LBC serves freshly baked egg-less and gluten-free bubble waffles along with regular pocket waffles, bubble shakes and pancakes. 

LBC started it's sweet journey by opening it's first outlet in Juhu and currently it has around 6 outlets in Mumbai. Last week visited the Ghatkopar outlet for tasting. 


Ambience:- It's compact outlet which is decorated quite colourfully.

Started off our tasting session with Kit-Kat Break Bubble Waffle (half). Here in half bubble waffle is topped with vanilla ice cream scoop, chocolate, colourful sprinkles, choco chips, kit-kat chocolate, wafer roll. Totally drool-worthy and it's one of my favourite waffle from the menu.

Black Jack Bubble Waffle (full), one of the trending waffle on social media. Here in crispy black waffle is stuffed with charcoal (black) ice-cream, chocolate, choco chips, colourful sprinkles, wafer roll. Delicious and definitely a must try one.

Strawberry Lemon Iced Chai, it's basically ice tea were in strawberry is infused with lemon juice and has bubbles inside it. Overall taste was average.

Lastly we tried out Black and White Pancake, here in soft mini pancakes are topped with cream, dark and white chocolate, Oreo biscuits crumbs. It's must try one for the Oreo lovers.

Recommendations:- Kit-Kat Break Bubble Waffle and Black Jack Bubble Waffle


Service:- Quick and friendly staff.


Experience:- Overall it was amazing experience and must visit place to try out some funky bubble waffles.

Curry Culture

Invitation Order Day, Date and Time:- Saturday, 3-March-2018, 2.00 p.m.

"Curry Culture" a newly opened delivery kitchen located in Powai which serves North Indian cuisine. It is owned and operated by the same management which operates Peco Peco

Reach:- 5 Km from the outlet.

Menu:- The menu overall offers wide variety for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians which includes rolls and wraps, soups, starters, main course and meal boxes. In addition to that Curry Culture also takes bulk orders.

After reviewing Peco Peco, the management invited me to try out few dishes from the menu of Curry Culture and give feedback on the same. So decided to try out following from the menu.

Murg Tangdi Kebab:- Juicy chicken legs marinated in spices and tandoor to perfection keeping it's juiciness intact. One of the best i had in long time. It's definitely must try one from the menu.

Paneer Banjara Masala:- It's creamy and medium spicy thick gravy with soft paneer chunks. It's good option for the vegetarians.

Garlic Naan and Roomali Roti:- Both were soft and went well with the gravy. 

Prawns Biryani:- Biryani was simply awesome and perfect combination of rice, prawns and spices. It is  served with raita and onion on the side.


Recommendations:- Murg Tangdi Kebab, Paneer Banjara Masala and Prawns Biryani.

Packing:- Excellent packing and deserve full mark for the same.

Plus Point:- Less oily, Good quantity, Tissues and Cutlery, Value for money place and On-time delivery. 

Experience:- Overall it was good experience and definitely a place to try out some delicious North Indian cuisine.

Portico

Visit Day Date and Time:-  Sunday 18-February-2018, 1.30 p.m.

"Portico" a newly opened pool side restaurant located in the Hiranandani Estate, Thane serves delicacy's from various parts of the world along with some creative Mocktails.

Ambience:- It's quite spacious outlet with simple but creative decor i.e. wall frames, rustic wooden tables, wall designs and pool side view. 

Menu:- The menu of this place has been designed by the popular Chef and Consultant Mr. Saif, who is well known for his  creative and delicious food creation in many restaurants in Mumbai and Pune namely Flip Bar and Kitchen, Fusion Kitchen, Oozo, The Little Door, Asanjo (Pune), Geo Bistro (Pune). 

We started off our review with the mocktails Blackberry Caipiroshka and Strawberry Colada. The Caipiroshka glass was stuffed with black berry, mint leaves, lime and topped with crushed ice, sprite and further garnished with black berry, mint leaves and slice of lime. Just loved this refreshing combination and would recommend it. The Strawberry Colada is coconut milk based mocktail with pineapple juice, strawberry and pineapple.


Starters 
Cuban Nachos (Veg), spinach flavoured crispy tortilla chips layered with beans, cheese sauce, pico de gallo (Mexican salad), further topped with cheese sauce, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, sour cream and avocado which is served with tomato salsa on the side. Columbian Chicken Nachos, crispy beetroot flavoured tortilla chips topped with minced chicken and topped with cheese sauce, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, sour cream, guacamole (avocado based) cherry tomato which is served with tomato salsa on the side. Both nachos were really crispy, cheesy and flavourful.

Peruvian Pesto Paneer, here in the soft cottage cheese cubes are tossed to perfection in spicy Peruvian pesto sauce which is made up of basil, spinach, walnut, Parmesan cheese, green chili, garlic and olive oil. Overall it's tasty and medium spicy.

Fungi Repieni consisted of button mushroom, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeno, green onion, oregano made in to small balls, battered and coated with crumbs and fried to perfection. While serving its cut into two pieces and served along with herbed mayo. Must try for the mushroom lovers.

Crispy Sriracha Mini Spring Rolls, it's nothing but our regular spring rolls but stuffed with cheese and assorted veggies tossed with soya chili sauce, sriracha sauce, ginger garlic and cheese which is served with sweet chili sauce. It's nice and crispy.

Pan Seared Fish with Pineapple Salsa, here in juicy rawas fish (Indian Salmon) chunks are marinated with white wine, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, honey, black pepper and further pan seared. It is served with pineapple salsa which is made up of pineapple chunks mixed with chopped onions,bell peppers, jalapeno, green chili, lemon juice, cumin powder and coriander.

Cheesy Chicken Croquettes, consisted of minced chicken mixed with sambal, green onions, coriander, onions, garlic, mozzarella cheese made into small rolls, battered and fried to perfection. It is served with spicy sambal mayo. 

Irish Potato Bites, here in baby potatoes are stuffed with minced chicken, mozzarella, cheddar cheese further baked and topped with garlic mayo and served with Spicy Garlic Mayo. Simply loved it. Bunuelos Columbines, it's a Colombian cheese balls, consisted of mozzarella and feta cheese,oregano,thyme. It's basically treat for cheese lovers.


Main Course
We tried out Hearty Vegetable Lasagna and Chicken Lasagna which are served with Garlic Bread. The Chicken Lasagna was loaded with chicken and cheese. Both the dishes were well cooked and must try one if your love cheese.


New Orleans Creole Shrimp Gumbo, spicy juicy shrimp gumbo (stew) cooked with onion, garlic, chicken sausages, capsicum, tomato sauce, thyme, rosemary, cajun spice, cayenne pepper, paprika, tabasco, red wine which is served with parsley rice and sauteed veggies.

Grilled Chicken Romesco Sauce, succulent chicken is grilled to perfection and cooked in flavourful romesco sauce which is served with parsley rice and sauteed veggies. It's basically Spanish sauce made of red pepper, almond, tomato, smoked paprika, garlic, olive oil and black pepper.

Desserts
After eating such a delicious food it was time to try out something in desserts. The Chocolate Biscuit & Nut Cake; balanced sweetness and flawless presentation.
                                                         
Recommendations:- Blackberry Caipiroshka, Cuban Nacho, Columbian Chicken Nachos, Pan Seared Fish with Pineapple Salsa, Irish Potato Bites, Peruvian Pesto Paneer, Hearty Vegetable Lasagna, Chicken Lasagna, New Orleans Creole Shrimp Gumbo, Grilled Chicken Romesco Sauce, The Chocolate Biscuit & Nut Cake.

Service:- Excellent service and the staff are well aware of the menu.

Experience:- Overall an awesome experience and one of the best place to visit in thane to enjoy  some delicious and lip-smacking food along with amazing mocktails. Special thanks to Chef Saif for the invitation and hosting us. Kudos to the team.
